Saint-Martin after Hurricane Irma (Category 5) of September 2017
On September 7, 2017, the passage of Hurricane Irma in the West Indies caused considerable damage to Saint Martin and Saint Bartholomew. Irma is Category 5, the highest level on the Saffir-Simpson scale, with its strong winds exceeding 217 mph (350 km/h), causing many 10 meters high waves and it remained in category 5 for 69 hours, a record!
